JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the General Manager, the dining room supervisor is responsible for supervising all aspects of dining room operations, including managing the service team, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining a welcoming and professional dining atmosphere. This position requires a hands-on leader who can motivate the team while delivering exceptional service to residents.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or food service management preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in food and beverage service, ideally in a senior living. healthcare, or hospitality setting.
  • Food Safe certificate.
  • Serving it Right certificate.

SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise daily food and beverage service operations in dining rooms, country kitchen, and event spaces.
  • Assist in daily meal service.
  • Train, mentor, and schedule dining service staff to ensure a high level of performance and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards during meal service.
  • Oversee table setups, food presentation, and service to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Address resident and guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events, themed dinners, and catering requests.
  • Managing inventory of dining supplies and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to communicate feedback and improve service delivery.
