This role supports the oversight of all mealtime service in the Dining Room and Bistro, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining standards of service, cleanliness, and sanitation. Additionally, this role supports employee scheduling training, and evaluations, and offers operational coverage when required. Ensures proper portioning of food, attractive plate presentation and service of required diets for meals, nourishments, and snacks. Assists in scheduling and training of staff, and providing input for evaluations and corrective actions of staff, if necessary. Maintains effective communication with managers, supervisors, subordinates, and all other colleagues. Assists in supervision of opening and closing of dining services operation. Operates and trains employees on POS systems. Ensures proper food portions, attractive plate presentation and service of meals and snacks. Helps with set up of special resident and staff events. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum one (1) year experience of dining room or food service, including service and sanitation. Ability to operate and train employees on POS system. Ability to supervise large dining staff. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) preferred. Serv-Safe sanitation certification preferred. Great leadership skills required, including the ability to develop and lead a team, work individually, and support and communicate manager directives to staff.
