Description Dining Service Director We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dining Service Director to oversee all aspects of dining operations within our assisted living community. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team, ensure high-quality service, and promote a positive dining experience for our residents. The ideal candidate will be organized, compassionate, and knowledgeable about food service regulations and best practices in senior living environments. Key Responsibilities: - Order food and supplies to ensure timely availability of ingredients and dining essentials - Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences - Manage and supervise a small staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all dining and kitchen areas - Attend food council meetings and collaborate with team members to improve dining services - Adhere to state regulations and industry standards for assisted living food service operations - Meet with residents and their families to discuss dietary needs, preferences, and special requests - Prepare and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage - Monitor food quality, presentation, and service to ensure a positive dining experience Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience in food service management, preferably in senior living or healthcare settings - Knowledge of state and local regulations related to food safety and assisted living standards - Strong leadership and team management skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively - Culinary skills and knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors - Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment - High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or food service management certification preferred Join our team and contribute to creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel cared for and valued.
