Description We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dining Services Lead to oversee the tray line staff and ensure smooth, safe, and efficient dining operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a positive dining experience while maintaining high standards of safety and service quality. Part Time - to include every other weekend and evenings. · Education and experience equivalent to high school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred. · Supervisory experience in restaurant/dining field is preferred. · Ability to process information accurately, make appropriate decisions and take appropriate action based upon the information available. · Serve Safe Certification or ability to obtain. · Time management skills; ability to meet deadlines. · Multi-tasking skills; ability to handle prep work, various timelines, recipes, delivery schedules, etc. · Strong verbal communication skills; ability to speak with appropriate grammar. · Strong customer service skills; maintain a hospitality approach to engaging with all individuals. Requirements · Oversees systems and processes to ensure that the strategic and operational objectives of the facility’s Healthcare services program are accomplished. · Assists in the selection, orientation and training of Healthcare services staff. · Evaluates resident meal selection, tray completion, tray delivery, and tray retrieval process on a daily basis. · Responsive to residents’ needs at all times. Resolves resident and staff concerns immediately and/or reports needed assistance to supervisor as appropriate. · Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met with guidelines of diet order limitations. · Communicates any patient related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel, in a timely manner following departmental procedures. · Ensures proper staffing is scheduled and/or available to perform daily activities in resident services. · Coordinates and oversees daily and weekly activities/tasks are performed by Healthcare Foodservices staff. · Assists in training production staff on resident food Services needs, such as modified diet recipe requirements, residents services production needs, portion control and timeliness in which food is delivered to tray line. · Evaluates, mentors and disciplines residents services staff as applicable and according to departmental policy. · Interacts with Nursing Staff to ensure residents’ diet prescriptions are accurate and patient’s food needs are met. · Adheres to facility confidentiality and resident’s rights policy as outlined in the facility’s HIPAA policies and procedures. · Contributes to resident satisfaction goals by providing quality service. · Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. · Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment. · Follows HACCP guidelines when receiving, assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety of food supply. · Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports/audits as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines. · Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by manufacturers and per SDS sheets. · Follows facility, department and Compass safety policies and procedures to include incident reporting. · Adheres to Emergency Preparedness Program and participates in drills and in-services as appropriate · Possess strong organizational and management skills in order to supervise employees, select objectives for the department and implement those objectives. · Assist in training new employees and help them learn position. · Work at special functions as needed. · Demonstrate dependability, reliability and punctuality.
