The Arizona Student Unions is looking for a Dining Services Supervisor to join our team at our new pizzeria Campus Crust. As a Dining Services Supervisor, you will oversee a team of Cooks, Dining Services Attendants, Cashiers and Sanitation team members. In this position you are responsible for assisting manager with daily operations in front of house and back of house, including ordering supplies, inventory control, food preparation, labor and food costs, budgeting, profit and loss development and labor. Instructing, implementing and monitoring all aspects of safe, sanitary and service-oriented food preparation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift, move, transport up to 50lbs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to interpret instructions and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Knowledge in scheduling, customer relations and maintaining cash flow security.
  • Skilled in computerized inventory control systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and days.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in high volume pizza concept.
  • Previous food service production, culinary and service techniques.
  • Exposure to indoor food preparation, storage, and service areas, including exposure to mechanical parts, heat and cold.
  • Experience in group leadership.
Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hires, trains, and coordinates work schedules for personnel.
  • Communicates oral and written instructions to staff, leading and monitoring effective customer service practices within the unit.
  • Assists with merchandising and maintaining online shop.
  • Submits maintenance orders, receives materials and supplies via the Culinary Services procurement and distribution system.
  • Completes required inventory control and personnel records and reports.
  • Notifies management of quality issues, customer complaints and personnel corrective action.
  • Receives, distributes, follows and enforces departmental cash procedures.
