Families in Transition is currently looking for a Dinning Service and Sanitation to join our team! Job Summary: The Dining Services Sanitation employee will be responsible for dishwashing (mechanically and manually), maintaining sanitary kitchen, floors, waste barrels, food storage areas and dishwashing station in compliance with licensing regulations. This position will assist in receiving, food prep, program delivery and other kitchen needs as directed by chef or Director. Essential Functions: Ensure the highest standards of sanitation, food safety and infection control are met; adhere to proper processes and procedures in dishwashing (manually and mechanical) and general sanitation of kitchen and food storage areas. Receive deliveries and orders, reconcile invoices; put product away. Attend related trainings as needed. Operate and clean a variety of specialized food service equipment, i.e. coffee maker, automatic dishwasher, commercial ovens and mixer, meat slicer, etc. Report any safety, sanitary or other concerns to the Chef or Director as soon as possible. Provide direction as necessary to volunteers – ensure activities adhere to set processes and procedures, including food safety, sanitation and cleanliness. Provide courteous service to all residents; demonstrate empathy and a desire to help others. Ensure adherence to safety attire requirements; including proper footwear, hair nets, and other requirements. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
