DESCRIPTION

Gordon Street Pre-School is seeking a passionate and motivated Diploma qualified Educator to join our small and close-knit team causally for relief shifts for the remainder of the year with potential for a part time position for 2026.
The Educator will assist in the delivery of high-quality programs that nurtures the growth and development of children through play. They will be an essential part of the Gordon Street Pre-School team, working collaboratively with Educators, children and families to deliver safe, inclusive and engaging programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is a casual position for the remainder of 2025 with the possibility of a part time role for 2026.
The role reports directly to the Director and the Committee of Management. The successful candidate will have:
A passion for early childhood education
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with educators, parents, children, and the wider community
Strong sense of teamwork and a collaborative approach to work
Understanding of the National Quality Framework, VEYLDF, and National Laws and Regulations
Understanding of the Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme
Diploma or Cert III of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as approved by ACECQA)
Working with Children Check
Mandatory Reporting Certificate
Current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management training
Police check
Committed to Child Safety
