POSITION SUMMARY:

To lead and coordinate the organization’s efforts to effectively communicate and develop referring relationships with payors, professional referral sources, consumers and other customers so that their needs are served, they understand how to best use the hospital services, and the organization experiences positive business development.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or in some Behavioral Science. Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years experience directly related to mental health care marketing in hospital or managed care environments. A strong client service background is mandatory. Has proven record in business development and sales.
Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience, preferably in healthcare setting.
Licensure/Certification:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge in areas of marketing and business development in healthcare and in managed care.
  • Working knowledge of public relations, communications, media relations and event planning.
  • Knowledge of behavioral sciences and the objectives of mental health treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Excellent oral, written and analytical skills.
  • Skill in public speaking and speaking materials in a clear, concise and logical manner.
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Skills in using computer and office equipment as projector, DVD, camcorder, etc.
  • Ethical standards in relation to all aspects of business development.
  • Superior leadership skills/abilities to direct marketing team, establish priorities and successfully plan, develop, implement, coordinate and manage marketing systems.
