This job leads the lean/process improvement efforts of the project management office (PMO) and Lean Green Belt community to achieve financial and organizational goals and objectives. Contributes to organization lean/performance improvement (PI) strategy, manages project selection, deploys lean/PI resources, develops lean PI resources within the PMO and Green Belt community, and builds lean/PI cultural awareness through organizational training and development.

EDUCATION

Required – Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, healthcare administration, public health, finance, or related field
Preferred – Master’s degree

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required – 7 years of experience in process improvement
Preferred – Experience in project management, change management, and/or healthcare operations

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout required job processes.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to be self-directed.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and relate to executive management, professionals, and business and community leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills and ability to use good judgment in handling difficult situations.
  • Good organizational, delegation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.
Responsibilities
  • Manages resource structure, employee governance, and resource deployment for lean/process improvement.
  • Develops and executes the strategic plan for organizational process improvement.
  • Serves as liaison to divisions to create lean/PI infrastructure locally.
  • Manages the training and development of Lean Green Belt community.
  • Develops training and coaching strategies to transfer core competencies throughout the system.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
