The Factory Quality Director is the department head to oversee the activities of the Quality assurance from development, implementation and maintenance of Quality related systems and processes for the organizations products. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining a Best-in-Class Quality result for systems shipped to customers. This is a high visibility position that requires a seasoned and well-rounded candidate with experience in structured problem solving, handling customer escalation, managing cross functional team, data analytics, lean 6 sigma and various sills related to leadership and coaching. We are looking for candidate with deep understanding of statistical data analysis, ISO 9001 standards, and continuous improvement methodologies, leveraging this expertise to drive organizational excellence. Candidate also must showcase exceptional critical thinking abilities, coupled with effective leadership skills, robust communication capabilities, and a collaborative approach to team engagement, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Develop, implement, and communicate the long-term quality strategy and roadmap aligned with corporate objectives. Own and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with international standards such as ISO 9001 and specific semiconductor customer requirements. Lead all internal and external quality audits (including customer and regulatory audits) and drive timely and effective corrective actions. Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the quality function, reporting on quality performance, trends, and strategic initiatives to the executive team. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of quality engineers, analysts, and technicians. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the QA team and across functional boundaries (Engineering, Manufacturing). Manage resource allocation, career development, and performance reviews for the quality organization. Manage the Control of Non-Conforming Product, Corrective Action Request (SCAR), and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes. Serve as the ultimate escalation point for critical customer quality issues, ensuring a rapid, robust, and professional response. Implement and manage an effective 8D (or similar) problem-solving process for customer complaints, driving to root cause and preventing recurrence. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or similar). 12+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance/Engineering, with at least 7+ years in a senior leadership/management role. Proven experience in a capital equipment company, preferably within the semiconductor equipment industry or a closely related field. Deep, hands-on expertise with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 required). Demonstrated mastery of problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, DMAIC). Experience in new product transfer and qualification process. Strong statistical analysis skills (SPC, MSA, Capability Analysis). Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to executive leadership and customers.
