JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Direct Billing Specialist/ Payables Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exposure to direct billing in a distribution type organization. The individual will be responsible for managing billing processes and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various accounting practices to support our financial operations effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least three years’ experience in payables
• Ability to analyze information with attention to details
• General understanding of accounting and accurate 10-key abilities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with great time management skills
• Problem solving skills and ability to multitask
• Self-starter and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment

• Billing of customer orders shipped directly from manufacturer to customer
• Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for a large amount of vendors
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with sales department and vendors
• Ensuring invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner
• Scheduling payments to vendors while monitoring discount opportunities and buying group payment dates
• Researching and resolving purchase order, invoice, and payment discrepancies
• Reviewing freight invoices and allocating costs
• Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements
