What you’ll do & Who you are
We are seeking a results-driven Direct Client Lead to spearhead the acquisition, development, and management of direct client relationships in the advertising space. In this role, you are pivotal in driving revenue growth through the sale of media advertising solutions on Kleinanzeigen. You excel in consultative sales, develop long-term partnerships, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class customer solutions. This is a remote role located in Munich. You report to the Head of Media Sales.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead direct sales to acquire and grow strategic advertiser accounts across core verticals such as Retail, Services, and FMCG.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and upselling, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Develop tailored advertising solutions by leveraging existing media products, while also identifying and pursuing bespoke client opportunities in collaboration with Business Development and cross-functional teams such as Real Estate, Product&Tech
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, understanding their business goals and translating them into impactful advertising solutions on Kleinanzeigen.
  • Leverage data and market insights to optimise campaign performance and ensure strong ROI.
  • Collaborate with Sales Marketing and Customer Success to support go-to-market efforts and post-sale excellence.

Who You Are:

  • You bring 7+ years of experience in digital media sales, ideally within retail media, with a strong record of direct client acquisition and revenue growth.
  • You have strong consultative sales skills, thrive in long sales cycles, and are confident in managing multiple stakeholders across complex deals.
  • You understand the digital advertising ecosystem, including audience targeting, and campaign measurement.
  • You’re a strategic thinker with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, and you’re comfortable navigating fast-paced, high-autonomy environments.
  • You have an established network of advertisers and decision-makers to accelerate business development.
  • You’re fluent in German and English.
  • Represent Kleinanzeigen at key client meetings and industry events to drive brand engagement and stay ahead of digital advertising trends.
