If you’re looking for a career in the Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Court and to start on the first rung of our managerial ladder, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for. If successful, you will undergo a comprehensive and structured 9 month Clerk of Court training programme centring around criminal and civil business facilitated by our Education and Learning Unit and in partnership with your local team. You will have the option of Dumbarton or Greenock Sheriff and JP court as your base location. Travel throughout the North Strathclyde Sheriffdom will be required.
There is also a role based at Oban Sheriff and JP court. During the 9 month training period, some training will require to take place at Dumbarton Sheriff Court, travel and subsistence will be paid in accordance with the relevant policy.
