Responsibilities:
The Direct Loan Specialist I manages the intake and processing of all consumer loan applications originated by the Credit Union. The role requires knowledge and adherence of internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and a strong understanding of all loan products and services.
The Direct Loan Specialist I is responsible for managing inbound Member phone queues as well as providing support to all Credit Union branches. This position also reviews and verifies all supporting loan documentation, analyzes credit reports, and prepares loans for closing. The Direct Loan Specialist I is responsible for setting up all Consumer Loan closings, prepare all remote sign sessions as well as the funding of all direct loan types. This position prepares email and mail communication, handles member consultation, ensures compliance to all lending regulations, and builds relationships with Members and Branch Associates.
