As part of this growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented Direct Marketing Specialist – Member Retention to join our team. What You’ll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga In this role, you’ll lead the development and optimisation of communications and data-driven initiatives designed to reduce Member churn. You’ll manage retention-focused campaigns end-to-end, including our renewal communications programme, ensuring Members stay engaged and connected. Using data and customer insights, you’ll contribute to new strategies, refine existing approaches, and continuously improve performance across revenue and service touchpoints. Sitting at the intersection of marketing operations, lifecycle management, and Member support, you’ll play a key role in bringing our Member Retention strategy to life. About You | Mōu You’re a performance driven marketing professional who thrives in environments where strategy meets execution. You enjoy owning projects, collaborating across teams, and turning insights into action. Your strengths include: Strong stakeholder management - confident working with cross‑functional partners, bringing people on the journey, and influencing decision‑making. Process-oriented mindset - able to bring structure, clarity, and efficiency to how campaigns and workflows are delivered. Commercial acumen - comfortable interpreting data, understanding value drivers, and applying insight to guide decisions. Proven problem-solving ability and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Experience guiding or supporting junior marketers and uplifting capability in a fast-paced team environment. Proven experience optimising customer journeys and improving engagement through testing, insights, and continuous refinement. Excellent communication and presentation skills. A proactive, adaptable approach with strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities. Relevant marketing qualifications and experience in the New Zealand market. You’re motivated by creating measurable impact and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver meaningful outcomes for Members.
