SUMMARY: The Direct Service Advocate ensures that Providence Place delivers a safe and positive experience for the child(ren) and the parents/guardians. Ensures needs are met through engagement focused practices that uphold trauma informed care principles.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least 1 year in customer service or experience in related field.

SKILLS:

Must have the following skills and/or abilities:

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), and customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge and skill administering the delivery of services to prospective clients to include children, youth, and families.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer conversant and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (read/write).
  • Familiar with basic office equipment including a copy, scan, and fax machines.
  • Ability to work in multiple fast paced environments.

Responsibilities
  1. Move the agency forward.
  2. Uphold the values of integrity, learning, service to the client, and stewardship to the agency.
  3. Be cross trained and support agency functions as assigned by supervisor.
  4. Remains current, knowledgeable, and in compliance with funder and agency regulations, standards, and state and federal laws which regulate the governing of Providence Place.
  5. Direct Service Attendant will aid in other areas during times of low census. These areas may include, but are not limited to, front desk coverage, housekeeping duties, and other administrative functions.
  6. Adheres to timelines and specified document deadlines in accordance to agency policies and procedures.
  7. Responsible for ensuring the Kid’s Zone is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
  8. Required to ensure safe and interactive atmosphere for the child(ren) in the Kid’s Zone.
  9. Administers activities in a professional and appropriate manner while on duty.
  10. Follows all Kid’s Zone policies and procedures.
  11. Enforces agency Policies and Procedures when it comes to parent/guardian management.
  12. Supervise activities of all assigned children in the Kid’s Zone area and ensure child(ren) remain in designated area.
  13. Participate and entertain children with games or other approved activities.
  14. Administer first aid to children in accordance with company policy.
  15. Ensure parent receives a copy of Kid’s Zone Policies and Procedures, and completes the required documentation as well as, answers any questions relating to the child.
  16. Report any incidents to supervisor (ensure to fill out an Incident Report Form)
  17. Report any child health concerns to the club management.
  18. Responsible for general cleaning duties in Kids Zone including disinfecting toys
  19. Completes reporting and internal measurements accurately and on time to include statistical reports, service tracking, client demographics, and any other compliance related matters as directed by the Director or designee.
