POSITION TITLE: DIRECT SERVICE WORKER (WEEKENDS AND NIGHTS)

Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week
Wage: $22.00 - $32.00
Direct Service Workers is required to collaborate with Program Directors and staff to support for participants in all of Sunshine House programs and activities. This position requires that qualified individual is available for overnight shifts at a residential facility and must be available for one to two overnight shifts per weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Adaptable and flexible.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Lived experience as related to Sunshine House programs.
• Professional experience relevant to Sunshine House programs and activities (Preferred).
• Knowledge of current social issues related to homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and harm reduction.
• Class 5 Driver’s License (Preferred)
• Relevant training, such as First AID, CPR, Conflict Resolution, or ASIST would be an asset.
  Post-Secondary education is not a requirement for employment, though it can help. Candidates with relevant lived experience will be given priority.
