Schedule: Monday, Thursday & Friday; 3p-11p and Double Saturday; 7am-11pm This position is located in Fitchburg, MA. $1,000 Sign-on Bonus Additional $250 Bonus if MAP Certified Devereux - Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Devereux's Cathy House program serves co-ed individuals aged 5 to 12 with ASD and IDD, most of whom are non-verbal. With 1:2 staff to students ratio, this program offers a high level of individualized care. The program goal is to teach, coach, and support our individuals to learn daily living skills, coping skills, and social skills while staying active and having fun. As a Direct Support/Care Professional, you will: Be passionate about working with and helping youth. Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision. Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment. Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same. Teach and assist with Activities of Daily (ADL) Living Skills. Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
