Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Development Services. In this role, you will support Participant in building life skills, fostering independence, and engaging in community activities. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support tailored to individual service plans Assist individuals with developing social, communication, and daily living skills Support participation in community activities (shopping, recreation, appointments, etc.) Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in healthcare, human services, or working with individuals with disabilities preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude Ability to pass background check Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred) Preferred Skills: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Knowledge of community resources and inclusion practices Join Helpful Hearts Health Services and help individuals thrive in their communities while building a rewarding career!
