Job Details Job Location: Cortland, NY - Cortland, NY 13045 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Salary Range: $16.00 - $25.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Advocates is seeking a mentor (1:1 support staff) to support an incredibly independent woman with a developmental disability. She is seeking a mentor to assist her with working on her goals both at home and in her community. Goals include: Health and fitness (using the gym, swimming, etc.) Social skills (accessing the community with supports) Independent living skills (grocery shopping, cooking, personal care tasks) Related experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required. Please respond with a resume and/or summary of experience. An ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, the ability to manage some behavioral concerns, and possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required. Hours and days of work: Weekdays between the hours of 8:30 am to 12 pm. Full-time opportunities may be available with other people in the agency. Pay rate: $25 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.
