Creed Medical is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our committed team. In this fulfilling role, you will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead empowered and independent lives. As a DSP, you will provide support with daily activities, encouraging personal growth and facilitating community involvement. Your responsibilities will primarily include helping individuals with personal care tasks, skill development, and emotional support, creating a positive and inclusive environment. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal planning, and attending appointments. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive relationships. Engage individuals in community activities, promoting social skills and inclusion. Implement and monitor individual care plans, documenting progress and needs accurately. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, and addressing any immediate concerns. Work collaboratively with other staff members and families to advocate for the needs of individuals. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in social services or healthcare preferred. Experience in direct care or similar roles is a strong plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience in various circumstances. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community activities. Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or required to obtain upon hiring. Flexible Schedule.
