Job DetailsSalary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 HourlyJobSummary Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the Direct Support Professional (DSP) executes program projects, initiatives, program curriculum and activities for the participants. Successful DSP’s excel at program facilitation, coordination, and participant engagement, while showing mastery in clerical duties. The work is always a variety of direct service, administrative, coordination and logistical services in support of the operations of the program(s) and assisting with information management to the teams involved. Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare program materials prior to carrying out activities with participants. Conducts and facilitates planned activities with participants. Support a leader-led approach to learning that builds participant’s skill sets. Assist with the implementation of the research-based violence prevention program. Assist with implementing Positive Behavior Intervention support for educators & participants. Ensure that materials are up to date and relevant to ensure a seamless experience for participants. Take participation and attendance of the program daily. Guide participants through various positive decision-making processes. Provide continual promotion of program participation. Track benchmarks and milestones related to the participant’s progress and community involvement throughout a 24-month period. Any other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator and/or the Operations Community Director. Remain abreast of all required CDS & facility-based training. QualificationsRequirements Desired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to leverage reliable transportation. Excellent time-management skills. Excellent Oral and Written communication skills. Proven ability to lead youth, co-workers, and individuals in general. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A minimum of 3+ years’ experience working in the human services Social Services/Behavioral Supports field. Bachelor’s degree in related field and 1-year experience or a High School Diploma and 5 years’ experience in the field.
Responsibilities
The DSP executes program projects, curriculum, and activities while facilitating participant engagement and managing administrative duties. They track participant progress over a 24-month period and implement research-based violence prevention and behavioral supports.
