DSP QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
• Three years of experience in developmental disabilities or caregiving required

• Team Management: Manage the staff in the home to ensure smooth operations of care.
• Daily Support: Assist clients with ADLs (personal care, meals, medication, and mobility).
• Encourage Independence: Facilitate community activities, life skills development, and personal goal achievement.
• Health and Safety: Monitor client well-being, maintain a safe environment, and follow individualized service plans (ISP).
• Documentation: Accurately document services, progress, and any incidents per agency/state guidelines.
• Build Relationships: Establish positive, supportive relationships with clients, families, and team members.
• Promote Dignity and Respect: Advocate for client rights and ensure a respectful environment in all interactions.
