Overview $1,500 new hire sign-on bonus Rate of pay: $18.00 per hour The Respite worker provides families of children with special health care needs a relief from their responsibilities by providing one to one direct care for their child within or outside the home by implementing a safety and service plan. All duties will vary depending on the specific needs of each child. Parent/caretaker will provide all training specific to their child. Safety plan must be reviewed and implemented when necessary. Responsibilities Provide ON CALL safe one to one direct care per the plan for children with special health care needs as directed by parents/caretakers. Provide socialization opportunities within home and/or outside of home when appropriate. Perform all necessary self-care tasks as needed by the individual supported. Provide transportation to and from all social activities only as approved by parent/caretaker. Provide required documentation to coordinator in a timely manner Qualifications 18+ years old High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record Ability to work with minimal supervision Per State regulations, qualifications determined by individual family
