Position Details * Conduct and implement functional assessments. * Read and write effectively. * Prepare accurate and complete reports, records, and documentation of residents’ program progress. * Plan and supervise social, recreational, work, and program activities for residents in assigned living areas. * Maintain an understanding and supportive attitude toward residents. * Keep and maintain records with accuracy and completeness. * Handle day-to-day challenges and accurately record and report observations. * Lift and transfer residents using prescribed techniques, often exceeding 50 pounds. * Follow established procedures for equipment care and food preparation. * Communicate effectively with staff and both verbal and nonverbal residents, including use of basic sign language and assistive communication devices (with in-service training as needed). * Implement proper practices and techniques for resident supervision. * Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and the ability to follow instructions in all job responsibilities. * Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when communicating with residents’ families.
