Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
- Follow individualized care plans and document any changes or concerns
Skills:
- Experience in medication administration
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Knowledge of assisted living, patient care, hospice care, nursing home, or home care settings
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with special needs or disabilities
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
