As an Independent Living Facilitator (ILF) you will provide for the care, fellowship, and protection of persons with developmental disabilities while supporting them to be as independent as possible. Responsibilities Assisting a person with disabilities to become more active in the community: Helping them with their grocery shopping Joining them in their hobbies, entertainment, and other recreational interests they may have Helping them run errands Support with personal hygiene Bathing Oral hygiene Assisting on and off commode Changing adult briefs Light household work Meal preparation Lifting and transferring, sometimes with the assistance of a Hoyer lift For some positions, InAlliance works in line with In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS). (Some hours paid will be via IHSS, but still an employee of InAlliance.)
