As a Direct Tax Senior Manager - Executive Director in the EMEA Corporation Tax team, you will focus on JPMorgan’s German corporate tax compliance obligations. You will manage relationships with key stakeholders, such as the German tax authority, internal and external auditors, and regulators. Your role will also involve supporting local and overseas teams with German tax questions, ensuring our firm meets its tax reporting obligations across EMEA.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Qualified professional with a recognized accounting and/or tax qualification, ideally with a completed German Steuerberater exam.
  • Strong knowledge of the German corporate tax regime and tax accounting skills, with demonstrable experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and influence others.
  • Focused on operating within and enhancing the existing tax risk and control framework.
  • Fluency in English and German.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and reasoning skills.
  • Experience in managing complex tax compliance processes in a multinational environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across different teams and regions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.

  • Respond to tax-related inquiries from regulators and internal and external auditors.

  • Articulate tax risks clearly to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Advise on the impact of new tax legislation in Germany.
