We’re looking for a Business Development Account Manager to join our team in the Winnipeg, MB office.
As a Business Development Account Manager, you will be responsible for building strong relationships and growing the business. You will work independently and collaboratively and play a key role in creating strategic business development plans with brokers. You will utilize your strong sales and communication skills to find new opportunities for profitable growth. This is a permanent full time position reporting to the Business Development Director for Manitoba.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a business development plan to achieve growth objectives and develop business relationships with brokerages under your responsibility.
  • Ensure broker relationships are healthy and prospering, adapting your approach and strategy accordingly. Communicate organizational strategy, including product, appetite, new rating programs and pricing methodology etc.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Directors and Managers to execute objectives, such as growth, profitability, mix of business and retention and work with other internal stakeholders such as Underwriting.
  • Understand the market and environment in which you operate. Monitor all company operations influencing business relationships with brokerages under your responsibility.
  • Seek new business opportunities and present and sell Intact’s overall offering of insurance products and services as well as advise brokerages on marketing solutions.
  • Share network knowledge with the team and act as a business development mobilizer.
  • Represent your role and region on various regional and provincial committees and advise other areas of the company (Actuarial, Finance, HR, Marketing and other departments).
