Le Directeur des finances – Contrôleur financier aura pour mission de superviser l’équipe comptable, d’optimiser les processus financiers, de produire des analyses stratégiques approfondies et de contribuer activement aux décisions d’affaires.
Il jouera un rôle-conseil de premier plan dans l’identification et la mise en œuvre d’améliorations visant à accroître la rentabilité de l’entreprise, à soutenir une croissance durable et à assurer l’efficacité des systèmes de contrôle interne.

Tripar, a leader in metal stamping and fabrication for over 75 years in Montreal, is primarily recognized in the architectural and commercial lighting industry. The company also offers custom manufacturing services for various sectors. It stands out for its dynamic environment, diverse production capabilities (both on-demand and scheduled), and a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
The Director of Finance – Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting team, optimizing financial processes, producing in-depth strategic analyses, and actively contributing to business decisions.
This person will play a key advisory role in identifying and implementing improvements aimed at increasing the company’s profitability, supporting sustainable growth, and ensuring the effectiveness of internal control systems.
The ideal candidate will be able to engage and guide their team toward achieving both organizational and individual goals through strong technical skills and effective communication. Results-oriented, they will demonstrate leadership, discipline, reliability, and a strong commitment to continuous learning and the integration of best practices from the private financial sector.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Lead the company’s financial strategy to optimize profitability.
  • Support the accounting team and supervise the full monthly accounting cycle.
  • Develop and analyze financial statements and budgets.
  • Guide and evaluate purchasing and pricing strategies to ensure alignment with profitability goals.
  • Conduct profitability analyses, cash flow forecasts, and return on investment (ROI) calculations
  • Provide expert financial guidance to department managers when making business decisions or developing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the planning and preparation of annual financial reports, including full responsibility for the year-end file in accordance with the external accounting firm’s requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation, submission, and follow-up of federal and provincial grant applications.
  • Ensure, review and establish appropriate internal controls as applicable.
  • Reduce year-end adjustments by improving the accuracy of accounting records.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and waste reduction.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage teams and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Bilingual (French and English), with fluency in both spoken and written communication
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, data analysis).
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally Profit Key, for accounting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.
