TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, statistics, business administration or another mathematics-related field.
  • At least 5 to 7 years’ experience in procurement planning and/or supply chain management.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Experience in production, inventory or demand planning.
  • APICS certification an asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the supply chain planning team.
  • Oversee the Canadian business unit’s order fulfillment process.
  • Maintain ties with Planning, Production, Logistics and Demand Planning to identify and resolve issues that affect the attainment of inventory management objectives.
  • Inform Customer Service and Supply Chain of all relevant aspects of inventory availability; prepare communications, presentations and relevant documentation related to escalated issues.
  • Suggest and implement replenishment processes and best practices to optimize the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales and Marketing to identify and forecast obsolescence costs associated with new product launches and gradual product discontinuations.
  • Promote communication and reinforcement of inventory management policy. Synthesize data to understand the reasons for deviations in optimum stock levels.
  • Suggest solutions to third-party logistics (3PL) capacity issues for assembled products.
  • Establish inventory (financial) forecasts for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) based on capacity analyses and explain monthly variances.
  • Maintain good ties with US counterparts and represent the Canadian Business Unit at joint S&OP and planning meetings.
  • Improve S&OP processes (obsolescence, stock-outs and discontinuation).
  • Plan and prioritize supply chain analyst analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop talent.
