KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of agency account management experience;
  • In-depth knowledge of digital media landscape;
  • Experience with Paid Media, SEO, Email, Affiliate, Influencer, Social Media Management and other applicable digital marketing services;
  • Experience with the analysis of Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta, and other analytics/marketing platforms;
  • Strong computer skills: Google Suite (Presentations, Sheets, Database, etc);
  • Strong project management skills - ability to independently complete assigned tasks successfully and on-time as well as keep others on top of their assigned tasks and deliverables;
  • Ability to manage and support multiple projects - multi-task, prioritize and adjust quickly to changing priorities;
  • Analytical mindset;
  • Possesses collaborative leadership skills that encourage team cooperation and motivate relationship-building;
  • Asset : Fluent in written and spoken English and French, to communicate with our bilingual clients and international/national team members.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Account Director position is a pivotal role that centers on strategic leadership in the management of client accounts. This role necessitates a profound understanding of client objectives, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes, coupled with a keen eye for emerging industry trends and digital marketing innovations. It entails the formulation and execution of highly tailored strategies in collaboration with specialist teams, underpinned by data-driven insights, to drive client growth through effective upselling and cross-selling. Additionally, this role involves cultivating robust client relationships, facilitating connections between our leadership and client decision-makers, and overseeing seamless project coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically lead and manage client accounts, serving as the ultimate authority on all initiatives and deliverables;
  • Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of client goals, objectives, KPIs, challenges, and vision;
  • Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of all services offered by Bloom enabling you to create cohesive strategic plans in collaboration with specialist teams to achieve your clients objectives;
  • Conduct thorough research on client verticals, including competition, industry trends, products, and business elements, to drive online success strategically;
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging digital marketing technologies;
  • Pitch ideas, develop client strategies, collaborate with specialist teams, and employ data analytics and KPIs to assess campaign effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations;
  • Occasionally participate in account pitches that align with your strengths and portfolio;
  • Ensure high retention of all the accounts you manage;
  • Drive account growth through effective upselling and cross-selling strategies;
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients point of contact and foster connections with decision-makers;
  • Liaise with project coordinators to ensure timely project execution according to client timelines;
  • Provide guidance, direction, and motivation to team members, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards the same objectives;
  • Embrace a critical thinking approach to continuously improve client service;
  • Lead client communications, delivering performance updates, metrics, reports, and presentations professionally and concisely;
  • Ensure clear task communication with respective departments and project coordinators to maintain service and team alignment;
  • Maintain updated and accurate account briefs reflecting the latest account developments;
  • Ensure our CRM accurately reflects the correct contact owner and contains comprehensive profile information;
  • Master our internal project management tool, ClickUp.
