Golin Dallas is hiring a Director, Catalyst to join a dynamic team supporting a multi-national software company.
You will work with an integrated group of specialists to deliver strategic, creative and relevant communications solutions across influencer and media relations work to address our client’s key business challenges.
The Director position leads relationships with clients to deliver against our agency objectives of growth, quality, innovation and profitability. You conduct yourself in an expert, inspirational way. As the Director role is the step from management of clients to directing and leading accounts, this role has a great deal of autonomy and leadership skills required for success.

Riding the wave of recognition and award-winning work, the Director, Catalyst has an incredible opportunity to undertake a client facing and commercial role, working in partnership with a cross-functional team across your clients’ businesses that helps promote and protect the brand in Dallas and keep Golin on top.
This role has a seat at the table with our client, shaping strategy with senior leadership, managing branded influencer campaigns, as well as traditional media campaigns. You will oversee communications between internal teams and clients to drive brand awareness, while working with a collaborative team that roll up their sleeves at all levels to produce great work!

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Serve as a client contact, providing counsel on tactical matters linked to strategic plans, with support of practice leadership and the core team
  • Drive forward timelines and day-to-day communication to ensure all media and influencer related plans and workstreams are moving forward
  • Proactive development and implementation of strategic recommendations and plans
  • Manage multiple projects at one time, coordinating between Golin and client team
  • Plan and implement consumer-facing events and partnerships on behalf of our brand partners
  • Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities for the development of strategic client plans and assist with the creation of related budgets
  • Build and maintain vendor and partner relationships
  • Lead and direct the execution of projects and ensure clear client aligned direction is delivered to the cross-functional team
  • Partner with PM/client finance to put together profitable staff plans, and scopes of work for our client work
  • You find opportunities to engage with and bring in the right people to build relationships on the client side that will open up new opportunities
  • Actively seeks out and identifies opportunities to drive client growth through strategic insights and tailored solutions

    What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s in Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing or related field

  • 7+ years’ experience in an advertising agency or similar setting
  • Natural leader with a passion for mentoring junior talent, capable of identifying problems and creative solutions to service the client
  • Experience leading a successful IAT and managing overlapping campaigns at one time
  • Strong project management experience with strong attention to detail and ability to manage many workstreams, timelines and channel teams
  • Ability to manage timelines and client budgets and possess strong organizational skills
  • Experience managing day-to-day client service and project management for technology and/or B2C brands
  • Possess knowledge of earned and social/digital
  • Strong understanding of traditional media, influencer, and content marketing strategies, ability to integrate campaign strategies and tactics
  • Experience working with creative teams, third-party vendors, and/or partner agencies
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, always looking to develop your skills, thinking and value to the agency and to clients
  • A passion for modern, integrated marketing with proven experience in the PR Industry is preferred
