DIRECT REPORTS (TEAM OF 8)

• Recognizes employee achievements and encourages excellence in the work environment.
• Manages, coaches and counsels direct reports.
• Contributes to the update and development of job descriptions, role profiles and performance measurement tools for direct reports as required.
• Conducts team meetings to enhance communication within and beyond the department.
• Manages the department’s budget and approves travel and business expenses of direct reports.
• Conducts progressive discipline and terminates employment of direct reports where necessary.
• Responsible for managing Time & Attendance of all Direct Reports in a timely manner in ADP Workforce Now.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Current, professional accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA or CPA).
• Minimum 15+ years previous experience in Finance & Accounting in progressively senior positions with a proven track record of high-performance leadership.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent business acumen and experience in driving strategic direction and partnering with other business leaders.
• Mathematical, statistical, and accounting skills with natural ability to problem solve.
• Tech savvy and fully proficient with computer technology especially Microsoft Office Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Browser). Advanced in Excel and knowledge of financial accounting software.
• SAP software and PowerBI knowledge strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal business communication skills including impactful and professional presentation skills.
• Relationship builder who can quickly build and maintain collaborative relationships with others.

  Pay: $160,000.00-$190,000.00 per year

Reporting to the Managing Director of Canada, the Director, Finance & Accounting has ultimate responsibility for all Finance and Accounting activities within the Company. You will provide strategic financial insight and input to senior management and lead all strategic matters related to forecasting, budget management, and cost benefit analysis. You are a member of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team and play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health and sustainability of the business.
