Description
Own and communicate the segment financial results including balance sheet analysis and supporting Finance on the P&L analysis. Serve as the accounting liaison for the Business/Commercial Finance, and act as the primary point of contact for segment business-related communications with the Technical Accounting team. Drive continuous improvement and modernization efforts across the global accounting and finance organization to ensure complete and accurate segment financial results. Provide overall support and analysis to executive management by investigating accounting questions, issues, and judgments and by partnering with team members from other business divisions to assist with accounting questions. Act as a key liaison to the external auditors to assist in their completion of an efficient audit. Oversee the timely completion of local statutory financial statements. Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting and reporting implications. Complete ad hoc projects assigned by senior management, including analysis of business operations, proposed accounting treatment, or other accounting and finance-related matters. 10+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility. Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience and/or public company experience. Big 4 experience preferred. Must possess a strong knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines. Reviews performance and progress on a regular basis to ensure the team is achieving results. Demonstrated success in the development of staff and others toward improved skills, independence, and self-initiative. Ability to earn trust and credibility within the organization, and capable of developing effective business relationships with all members of the company's senior leadership team. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound business decisions.
