What you’ll be working on * Provide case-specific support for advisors working on complex estate planning opportunities with clients * Build the knowledge and capabilities of TruStone’s advisors in the area of tax and estate planning, in particular as it pertains to business owners, professionals and high net worth individuals * Develop and deliver cutting-edge written content, presentations, and webinars focused on tax and estate planning opportunities for delivery to advisors * Maintain and apply current expertise on provincial and federal tax legislation, relevant case law, accounting standards, and regulatory developments that impact complex life insurance planning * Participate in select client-facing meetings alongside advisors to provide guidance and expertise in complex tax and estate planning cases, enhancing advisor credibility and helping to solidify complex planning recommendations * Create and curate internal resources and marketing materials that articulate TruStone Financial’s expertise in advanced insurance planning WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU TO HAVE * Completion of a University degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Finance, Law, or Accounting) or an equivalent combination of education and experience * A minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in the life insurance industry, with a substantial focus on advanced sales, or business development within the High Net Worth market segment * Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is required * Life Insurance License, or a minimum of the LLQP completed * Exceptional attention to detail/accuracy * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent presentation skills * Advanced Excel skills * Enjoy working in a collaborative work environment * CLU designation is an asset * Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting membership is an asset * If you are applying for a position which is open to applicants across Canada, unless otherwise indicated in the position, language proficiency in English is required for communicating with customers, advisors, or employees across Canada.
