Description
The Director, Ancillary Applications focuses on overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications that support ancillary services in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Ancillary services include departments such as laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and other clinical areas that support patient care. Qualifications * Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in a relevant field of study. * Master's Degree -- HIGHLY PREFERRED * At least eight (8) years of EHR application development experience for a health provider, health plan or accountable care organization including: Epic clinical or financial decision support, quality reporting, population health management or equivalent. * At least five (5) years of experience leading analyst. * Must have experience with Epic's Clinical or Outpatient application tools. * Experience in inpatient clinical workflows and governance. * Patient Care Technician, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse or clinical equivalent -- strongly preferred. * Certification in Epic Optime Application or relevant ancillary applications like -- Radiant, Beaker, etc or ability to get certified after employment * Demonstrated ability to articulate goals, plan and implement processes to achieve those goals, identify/remediate risks, and meet deadlines. * Advanced interpersonal (e.g., mediating, mentoring, teaching) skills required to serve stakeholders effectively. * Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently, and to exercise independent judgment in developing complex techniques or programs in a dynamic environment. * Skills in navigating complex organizational relationships, with a strong record of accomplishment of driving organizational cultural change. Politically astute; understands dynamics of relationships and will remain balanced and objective. * Effective and highly credible working relations with individuals at all levels of the organization, from entry-level to the medical staff. * A tenacious drive for results, utilizing sound project management, organizational, information systems and problem-solving skills. * A natural ability to effectively work with others in ways that fosters personal and professional ownership.
