This Director Assistant position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Head of US Consumer Compliance and will provide thought leadership, support strategy development, and day-to-day management of key processes, including operational expense management, staffing, and administrative oversight of the US Consumer Line of Business Compliance Teams, Fair Lending Program Office, Consumer Practices Advisory Team, and Complaints Oversight Team. The Director Assistant will be a key member of the US Consumer Compliance Leadership team and as such should possess strong thought leadership, outstanding communication skills, have high attention to detail, and have a proven record of success operating independently and within a high performing team environment. Critical to the role is a proactive and collaborative nature, flexibility, and an eagerness to work on a variety of projects and initiatives. Key responsibilities will include: Strategic and organizational management support on a broad range of priorities for the Senior Vice President, Head of US Consumer Compliance Organize, facilitate, and set the agenda for staff meetings and business unit reviews Manage staffing headcount via monthly tracking and support hiring leaders throughout the onboarding process Closely work with the Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Global Compliance and Ethics (GCE) executive offices, and the Colleague Experience Group (CEG) on strategic and organizational initiatives such as goal setting, development planning, talent management, mid-year check ins and year end performance management Interact effectively with colleagues at all levels in the organization to strengthen team culture, continuously improve the work environment, and identify and resolve issues Liaise and build strong partnerships with Business Leaders, colleague team members, external contacts, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment, and execution of the team’s overall priorities Develop communications and presentation materials for executive-level audiences and regulators Minimum Qualifications: Sound understanding or relevant experience in regulatory field or compliance Superior organizational skills and scrupulous attention to detail Exceptional professional communication skills – clear, logical, structured, outcome oriented Business maturity and demonstrated potential to influence at all levels Adaptable interpersonal skills, high energy, and a proven team-first mentality Sound judgment, strong situational leadership, and strategic, enterprise-focused thinking Impeccable integrity required for handling confidential information Rigorous and analytical approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization Able to efficiently prioritize, solve problems independently/with limited guidance, manage tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Intellectual curiosity and learning agility needed to explore and evaluate new ideas, business strategy, and evolving legal and regulatory compliance requirements Extensive project management experience Ability to work autonomously and on multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated solid financial acumen Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint Hybrid work arrangement based in Charlotte NC, or NYC and willingness to work at least 3 days on site Bachelor’s Required Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Degree Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
