JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the direction and oversight of the Pharma audit and adherence team managing all Pharma program compliance, including quality, REMS management, pharmacovigilance and audit related aspects associated with managing the enterprise’s pharmaceutical contracts. This position will also direct and oversee the Pharma Program team serving as the main point of contact for manufacturer HUBs and plays a critical role in implementing new and existing manufacturer programs. This position has primary leadership responsibility for the design, development, implementation and execution of systems and processes supporting the company’s overall business objectives of ensuring compliance with all aspects of our pharma contracts, in the most efficient manner possible.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree and at least 6 years of experience in Healthcare, speciality pharmacy, or related industry OR High School/GED and at least 9 years of experience in Healthcare, speciality pharmacy, or related industry
  • Experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience interpreting details of manufacturer contractual language and ensure contractual requirements are attainable
  • Demonstrated ability managing multiple ongoing projects
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team and with internal and external clients
  • Experience in meeting deadlines and instilling that same discipline on team members
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 30% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in business, healthcare or related area of study
  • Knowledge of pharmacy industry including Retail, PBM, Managed Care, Mail Service, and/or Specialty Pharmacy
  • Experience analyzing and auditing technical documents in order to maintain contract regulation compliance

Responsibilities
  • Directional oversight for the team that conducts internal program audits to ensure that contractual requirements are being followed which includes the development of drug specific audit criteria for all pharma programs based off of the contractual requirements
  • Directs pharmacists that facilitate, coordinate and participates in all manufacturer audits as they relate to contract adherence. This includes facilitating appropriate pre and post audit activities
  • Oversees the communication of manufacturer audit results to the appropriate parties internally
  • Fosters and maintain relationships with cross functional departments to create solutions for audit deviations/observations
  • Provides directional oversight on CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action) development and execution of process improvement
  • Develops and maintain process to “centralize” Adverse Event reporting for the Organization through systematic process and team approach
  • Leads strategy to implement an analytics based solution to monitor patient interactions to identify adverse events. This includes collaborating with Vendor, Quality, Operations and IT to implement the agreed upon solution and identification of targeted drugs and adverse event trigger words
  • Develops strategy and processes to enable consistent audit policies and procedures across all channels
  • Directional oversight of the team that reviews HIPAA Hitech data fields to ensure they are being documented properly
  • Directional oversight for the Pharma Program Team. This includes but is not limited to contract review and implementation of manufacturer programs, develop standard operating procedures, understand and interpret program specific scorecards, interact with pharmaceutical manufacturers on new product releases and updates and collaborate with reporting for data accuracy and timeliness
  • Fosters and maintains relationship with Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and HUBs
  • Partners with Pharma Operations to make recommendations on how the Organization can improve performance related to data reporting, turn-around time and other operational metrics
  • Supports RFP/RFI process, sales process throughout the RFP, quarterly business reviews (QBR), and finalist presentations, as needed
  • Directs strategy and maintain processes to support system configuration to ensure compliance to pharma program requirements. Such configuration may include the development of surveys and/or data collects, hard stop configuration to prevent non-compliance, and registry configuration to ensure appropriate REMS enrollment
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development, oversight and implementation of departmental budget
  • Responsible for leading a team through teaching, coaching and inspiring by fostering a sense of energy, ownership and a responsibility for the flawless execution of operational excellence; engage in the selection and hiring process as needed
  • Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate
