Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides oversight and leadership for Auxiliary Services, the department within Facilities Management providing Waste, Recycling, Staging, Surplus, and Shredding services for Emory University. Responsible for the employee experience, hiring, training, development, and management for all employees within Auxiliary Services. Provides strategic, logistic, and operational direction for all services within the Auxiliary Services portfolio, as well as guidance to department for all safety, environmental, and customer experience matters. Directs and provides leadership for all staff responsible or the operations of Waste, Recycling, Staging, Surplus, and Shredding. Plans, administers, and monitors the capital equipment, operations, and personnel budgets. Forecasts staffing, equipment, and resource requirements. Determines when contracted services are needed to support mission objectives, and participates in the sourcing and selection of vendors. Develops short and long-term goals and objectives for the department in support of programs within portfolio. Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in business administration, facilities management, sustainability, financial management, or related field, and eight years of related experience which includes leadership and financial management, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A thorough knowledge of work order systems and workflow methods. Proficiency in various computer software and Microsoft applications. Positions within this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record. NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
