Job Summary
The Senior Director, Biospecimen Operations EMEA is responsible for leadership of the Biorepository and Sample Preparation line of business in EMEA. The Senior Director oversees Biorepository & Sample Preparation product development, scientific excellence, quality and compliance management, systems and processes, sample receipt and handling operational delivery, and business goal achievement. Additionally, the Senior Director will create, comply with, and execute of all relevant policies and SOPs to ensure high levels of performance and client satisfaction. The Senior Director will follow direction set by the General Manager EMEA and implement programs to ensure attainment of strategic plans for growth and profit.
Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably MBA and a minimum of 10 years management experience.
Required Skills
Proven leadership/supervisory ability and experience, excellent interpersonal, organization, communication, multitasking, and listening skills. Strong business acumen as well as strong planning and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to changing environments and requirements. Negotiation, relationship building, influencing, coaching, conflict resolution, critical thinking and problem analysis/resolution skills. Self-motivating and ability to work well independently as well as using a collaborative team approach. Public speaking skills and laboratory knowledge highly preferred
