Category Strategy and Planning: - Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with Coupang's overall business objectives. - Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. - Work closely with the leadership team to set category-specific goals and constantly evaluate performance metrics. 2. Assortment Planning and Product Selection: - Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to curate a diverse and high-quality product assortment that meets customer demands. - Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify gaps or opportunities within the category and make informed decisions on product selection. 3. Pricing and Promotions: - Develop pricing strategies to drive sales, maintain competitive pricing levels, and maximize profitability. - Plan and execute promotional activities, such as discounts and deals, to increase customer engagement and drive revenue growth. 4. Vendor Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and negotiate advantageous contracts to secure the best products and deals for Coupang and its customers. - Monitor vendor performance, resolve issues, and collaborate on improvement plans to ensure seamless integration and high operational standards. 5. Team Leadership and Development: - Manage a team of category managers, analysts, and support staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. - Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the category team, driving employee engagement and growth. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). • Proven experience in category management, product management, or related roles within the e-commerce industry. • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. • Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing and developing teams. • Results-oriented mindset, driven to achieve targets and deliver measurable business outcomes. • Familiarity with data analysis tools and proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar software.
