Description:

We are looking for a Director, Business Development & Acquisitions Digital Services! In this role you will drive the growth of Fortum Consumer Solutions by identifying, evaluating and executing acquisitions and strategic partnerships. If you are passionate about exploring new digital services and have a knack for networking and building strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, we would love to hear from you.
The Business Development & Acquisitions team is responsible for driving both organic and inorganic growth for Fortum Consumer Solutions. Its primary focus is to identify, evaluate and execute on growth opportunities including bolt-on acquisitions and new services & products. We are now looking for a Director, Digital Services to join the team!

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Contribute to successful growth of Consumer Solutions by proactively identifying and evaluating external growth businesses for acquisitions, partnerships, or strategic alliances with focus on building new digital services outside of our base business (i.e. other than Energy & Value Adding Services)

IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL

  • Proactively identify and evaluate the long-term business development opportunities for Fortum Consumer Solutions outside our base business to ensure that we have an up-to-date and broad deal flow of investment opportunities
  • Analyze target companies’ financial performance, business models, market position, growth potential, and competitive landscape to determine their strategic fit for Fortum Consumer Solutions
  • Lead our negotiations and due diligence on the chosen investments in collaboration with other relevant business areas
  • Be responsible for efficient and accurate analysis and successful end-to-end execution of prioritized projects and transactions
  • Build and develop relationships with potential acquisition targets, co-investors, relevant advisors and start-up communities in the Nordics, and abroad when relevant
  • Analyze relevant technology sectors and markets to increase proactive deal flow generation and assess possible new focus areas
  • Contribute to broader business development tasks within Fortum Consumer Solutions
