Description
About the Role We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and hands-on Director of Business Development to lead our expansion in non-cyber services, including AI, Cloud, Business Intelligence, Managed Services, and Custom Development. This senior role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution: you will directly manage proposal development and CRM processes in the early phase, while also building a scalable business development team and function. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building client relationships, and establishing efficient, repeatable business development practices that position the company as a trusted partner in North America and beyond. Key Responsibilities Business Development Strategy Drive growth of non-cyber services (AI, Cloud, BI, Managed Services, Application & Web Development). Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, adapting quarterly to client demand and market trends. Build frameworks for identifying and pursuing both latent and active client needs. Partner with senior leadership to align pursuit decisions with company growth goals. Client Expansion & Relationship Management Engage with the existing 300+ clients (primarily on the cyber side) to cross-sell non-cyber services. Identify, qualify, and prioritize opportunities with federal, provincial, and private sector organizations in North America, as well as UK, Australia, and the Middle East. Conduct regular client business reviews (QBRs/WBRs) to strengthen relationships and uncover opportunities. Represent the company at industry summits, events, and client meetings to generate leads and expand brand presence. RFP/RFQ/RFI & Proposal Management Hands-on responsibility in the early phase: personally coordinate, write, edit, and manage proposals until the team is in place. Build and lead a dedicated proposal management practice for non-cyber services. Standardize templates, content libraries, pricing models, and compliance processes to improve efficiency. Collaborate with technical managers (AI, Cloud, BI) for solution input, win themes, and competitive positioning. Oversee all opportunity platforms (Merx, Biddingo, Bonfire) to ensure timely pursuit decisions and high-quality submissions. Sales, Revenue Growth & CRM Oversight Develop a robust sales pipeline through repeat business, outbound prospecting, partnerships, and software resale opportunities (Microsoft, Oracle, etc.). Own and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales CRM: ensure pipeline integrity, reporting accuracy, and workflow automation. Track and report KPIs: number of RFPs submitted, win/loss ratios, conversion rates, new revenue generated, and client expansion. Leverage analytics to refine business development strategy and improve success rates. Leadership & Team Development Roll up sleeves in the short term to personally manage proposals and CRM operations. Build and mentor a small team of BD executives and proposal specialists as the function scales. Establish governance, processes, and accountability standards for the business development team. Foster a collaborative culture with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, Delivery, Marketing). Act as a bridge between executive leadership and the BD team, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of business development experience, with at least 5 years in IT, Managed Services, or Professional Services. Proven success in North American markets (US & Canada); global exposure a plus. Strong expertise in RFP/RFI/RFQ management and proposal strategy. Familiarity with IT services sales cycles (AI, Cloud, BI, App Dev, Managed Services). Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales CRM (pipeline management and workflow automation). Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals. Strong leadership, team-building, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Ability to travel internationally as required. Why Join Us? Unique opportunity to build and lead a new business development function from the ground up. Exposure to diverse industries, clients, and cutting-edge IT services. High visibility and influence with executive leadership. Competitive executive-level compensation with performance-based incentives. Flexible remote/hybrid work environment with international exposure. 📌 Location: (Remote from Pakistan, with travel to North America as required) 📌 Reports To: Senior Leadership Team
