DESCRIPTION (IN A NUTSHELL)

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of BI is an accomplished and visionary leader of Business Intelligence. The Director of Business Intelligence is responsible for leading the development and execution of TimeDoc’s business intelligence strategy. This includes the design and implementation of data systems and analytics to support business decision-making processes and TimeDoc solutions. It also includes collaborating up, down, and across the organization to service our diverse business functions and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, leadership, strategic thinking and is a strong individual contributor. This role is essential to TimeDoc Health’s current operations and future strategic growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (computer science, information systems, statistics, math, engineering).
  • Leadership Experience: At least 7 years experience leading technical teams or senior program management with a demonstrated impact on team performance.
  • BI Platform Expertise: 10 years of end-to-end development experience using industry-leading BI platforms, with a strong focus on Power BI and Looker.
  • Data Expertise: Direct experience with various external data sources and databases, preferably in big data and cloud environments.
  • hands-on experience in architecting data cubes and warehouses
  • hands on experience in data management and architecture
  • hands-on experience in development and programming
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Demonstrable knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data extraction/transformation processes.
  • Experience with Python, R, BigQuery or other programming languages and open-source analytical tools is a plus.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of successfully executing projects, from needs assessments and requirements gathering to user testing and deployment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication at all levels and across various functions of the organization.
  • Agile Methodology and DataOps: Experience with the Agile Methodology and DataOps function.
