We are looking for the visionaries, the change-makers, the self-starters who are seeking more from their career. Change begins with the small decisions we make, each day, to support each other and strive to create inspiring incredible educational experiences for all students, no matter where they are or how they learn. This concept connects deeply to the idea that, in choosing a career with Yorkville University and Toronto Film School, you will have the opportunity to push boundaries, flex your creativity and inspire positive change for so many people. It’s also a call-back to the transformative power of education itself.
Our core values put the student experience at the center of what we do, reflecting who we are and aspire to be. If you want to shine a light on academic excellence, be empowered to make an impact on the transformation of the Canadian post-secondary education landscape, and work collaboratively beyond levels, join us.
WHO WE NEED
Reporting to the VP, Student and Registrarial Services, we are seeking a Director, Career Services to be a strategic leader, innovative collaborator, and expert in developing and implementing comprehensive career support. In this role, you will design and deliver — or oversee the delivery of — programs that empower students in their career exploration, professional growth, and job placement. You will play a key role in building and executing student-centred resources, events, and opportunities.
This is an opportunity to support a diverse student community as they pursue certifications, Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s degrees, and Doctorates. You will be pivotal to the student experience at Yorkville, engaging with students from the very first day. As both an academic and a relationship builder, you will raise awareness of the breadth and value of Career Services, guiding students toward meaningful and relevant employment opportunities. As a people leader, you will foster a supportive environment where every team member can do their best work, grow, and thrive — fulfilling our mission of championing student success.
This is a full-time hybrid role, working 3 days a week at our downtown Toronto campus.
