Description
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage data/information requirements needed to support business units, product owners, other SBUs, channels/branches, senior management level and external regulators. Establish and implement standardization and best practices within the MIS teams and enhance the resources capabilities and skill sets in information management deliverables. Approve and execute MIS needs on analytics reports for all business units in Consumer Banking and across impacted SBUs with focus on product performance tracking, sales performance reports/dashboards and performance information needs for Consumer Sales Distribution (branches) and Retail & Enterprise Distribution (channels), Incentive Management etc. Direct the BNM and External reporting team in the process and approach in ensuring timely and accurate regulatory reporting to BNM and external parties (within CBPA scope). Drive optimization in ensuring efficient use of resources and acceptable turn-around time. Integrate the usage of MIS tools and methodology to achieve consistent results with proper control mechanism and governance in information flows and deliverables. Streamline the process and procedures within the teams to achieve standardized management of information requests and channels in information provision. Enforce on automation of the MIS reports/analytics and improve the information flow process to achieve better turn-around time and to reduce manual intervention. Determine new areas of information and MIS analytics to enhance the skill sets within the teams and support in driving business results. Upskill the resources within CMSP to acquire new MIS/analytics skills and business intelligence skills sets. Close partnership/collaboration with Group Finance and Group Compliance on areas related to BNM/regulatory reporting (within the scope of CBPA) and governance compliance. Collaborate with Decision Management, Group Data Governance, Group Technology to ride on the available platform i.e. big data / DM-SAS / Tableau platform to achieve consistent data flows and to minimize on cost in investments of technology platform/hardware. Lead and Business Project Manager on data enrichment projects that impact CBPA in relation to information needed on sales performance, transaction performance, management analytics needs, amortization management, branches/channels performance etc. Govern and control the process of monitoring to ensure conformance to data/information governance policy and information confidentiality. Organize new learning needed for CBPA in terms of data preparation, data enrichment and information analytics such as business intelligence (Tableau), SAS knowledge and other analytics technology that fits CBPA needs. Crisis management when there are incidents that impact the team(s). Keep abreast on new changes in regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with new regulatory policy and procedures. Job Specification Relevant Work Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience of relevant banking background in established bank / financial institutions At least 10 years of experience on data related functions in established bank/financial institutions or relevant fields. 8 - 10 years of prior leadership position in banking on MIS/data related role in an established financial institutions. Required Competencies and Skills: Technical/Functional skills Consult on data needs and provide advice on data availability to all stakeholders. Lead discussions and driving data quality/standardisation on usage of data and report requirements to ensure quality MIS is produced. Understand the Group’s business model, strategic objectives and supporting systems and translates them to workable plans to meet business needs. Formulates and implements process and procedures to manage data and reporting requirements. Strong knowledge in process streamlining to achieve better turnaround time and results. Good understanding in data management concepts, analytics technology, Business Intelligence and analytical tools & skills.
