Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead a team of experts/professionals in Export Control, US-Reexport, Customs classifications and business partner screening
  • Encourage collaboration with stakeholders in the functional and business areas and with the global COE organization
  • Lead, mentor, and help your team to perform of Export Control and Tariff Code Specialists/Experts develop in a global setup
  • Steer the workload efficiently to ensure we achieve our quality and performance KPI’s
  • Manage how the team is performing, including reviews, coaching, and career plans
  • Handle budget planning and make sure the team has what it needs
  • Stay current with evolving global trade regulations
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to streamline compliance processes and reduce risk.

COMPETENCES & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in global trade compliance, including leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of successful people leadership and driving results
  • Strong understanding of international trade agreements and preferential trade programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. export control laws (EAR, ITAR), OFAC regulations, and international customs requirements.
  • Strong Interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working on global teams
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and address with effective solutions
  • Experience in ERP systems software, preferably SAP
