Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Executive Director – Children & Family Services, you will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering critical support to children and families at risk of or experiencing harm, neglect, domestic & family violence, mental ill-health, housing and financial issues.
In this high-impact leadership role, you’ll ensure the delivery of trauma-informed, evidence-based care while exceeding funding outcomes.
You’ll drive service innovation, lead strategic growth, and contribute to CatholicCare’s leadership agenda through active contribution and participation in organisational and Executive forums
You will lead with clarity, compassion, and a strategic mindset to deliver measurable outcomes and service excellence.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Exceeding Service Level Agreement and Key Performance Indicator expectations of Funders
  • Ensuring high clinical/practitioner/workforce utilisation
  • Developing strong funding partnerships/prospects to support service growth
  • Provide leadership in complex clinical and psychosocial settings
  • Evaluate and refine service proposals from strategic, clinical, and business perspectives
  • Translate strategic and operational objectives into clear directives for service teams

This is a dynamic leadership role for an experienced professional passionate about driving innovation and improving service delivery.

To be a successful candidate for this role, you will require:

  • Extensive experience in a service or business leadership role, managing a complex portfolio of services
  • High emotional intelligence with a demonstrated ability to build trust, lead with empathy, and inspire high-performing teams
  • Relevant qualifications and expertise
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection, domestic and family violence and other relevant legislation as required by service
  • Demonstrated capacity to implement a trauma informed, person centred approach to service delivery
  • Applied experience in managing clinical service delivery across a range of technical platforms, including clinical workforce planning and support functions
  • Experience in developing and managing to operational performance targets, and budget management
  • Experience developing and implementing business plans and strategies within a large complex organisation
  • Sufficient IT expertise to understand and utilise technology to create innovative health solutions
  • Good understanding of social, health, education, addictions and/or disability sectors in Australia, and knowledge of contemporary issues and funding models
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with professionals at all level and build credibility with clinical teams
  • A proactive and action driven professional attitude and approach with the ability to generate ideas, think innovatively, think critically and problem solve
  • Willingness to travel
