Job Details Job Location: State College Division - State College, PA 16801 Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $52,500.00 Salary/year Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization providing programs and services to individuals with and without disabilities. Our Child Development Center is looking to hire a Director to manage the complete operation of the program. This includes following policies and procedures, staffing the center, meeting State and other regulations, financial management, acting as the community liaison and overseeing the day to day programming. The Director is a full-time exempt position M-F, 35 hours per week with one hour unpaid lunch. The annual salary is $52,500 with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, 403b and the Employee Assistance Program. Please consider joining our team! QUALIFICATIONS-CDC DIRECTOR (1) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children. (2) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children. (3) An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children. (4) An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years of experience with children. Prior experience working with children with special needs preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred. Current US driver’s license with acceptable driving record obtained through the Office of Motor Vehicles. Acceptable Criminal Record, Child Abuse History, Department of Human Services FBI Clearance and acceptable results from the National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR) required. Passing of physical examination and TB required. JOB SUMMARY-CDC DIRECTOR, ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Oversee and comply with the Central Intermediate Unit #10 contract. This would include, but not be limited to: managing the budget, attending meetings, preparing reports, etc. Provide support to classroom employees in completing the Work Sampling Scale (WSS) and OUNCE assessments, per state regulation in the Pelican System. Support conflict resolution efforts as needed (conflicts with parents, support staff, related services, mental health professionals, between Easterseals’ CDC staff). Monitor and update CDC policies and procedures for presentation to supervisor for approval; implement upon approval. Prepare and submit the CDC budget to supervisor. Upon approval, monitor CDC budget on an ongoing basis, authorize purchases as required for the CDC, and assist accounting with CDC billing matters, as necessary Supervise CDC staff. This includes, but is not limited to: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervise CDC interns and volunteers. Oversee a partnership with the local United Way. This would include, but not be limited to: submitting the annual application, overseeing United Way agency presentation, and conducting the employee United Way campaign, etc. Support CDC fundraising efforts and overall Centre County development efforts related to program. Conduct an annual Open House event as part of Centre Gives. HOURS/BENEFITS-CDC DIRECTOR: The Director is a full-time position M-F, with variable hours between 7:30-5:30, 35 hours per week with one hour unpaid lunch. The annual salary is $52,500.
